Security assistance from Nigerian embassy
Hello there, I am coming to saignon very soon to see my fiance. He was in Nigeria and then got a job in Vietnam and as ask me to come and visit him, all expenses paid. I am a person that likes to feel safe all the time and this is far away from home, I would like to know if I can come and do some type of check-in. Like call to let you know am in saignon and I come in with my passport and you get a copy, stamp it, file it. That way you know my location and who am with and God forbid something happens, I can't always trust on my embassy to send me back home safely. I am also suggesting that this is one way our embassy can keep track of their citizens in Vietnam and other countries and make sure they stay away from trouble.Lets come back home, how many vietnamese citizens do you see in naija prisons ? how many british? How many Americans? Etc. I know for a fact that this other foreign embassies take care of their citizens, especially the Americans. I don't believe that every Nigerian in Vietnam prison is a drugpeddler, some people could be at the wrong place at the wrong time, set-up by enemies,or racism and then blamed for a crime. The embassy is supposed to be able to profile this people and help them out. We all can't be complaining at the same time, aren't we meant to be our brother's keepers. This situation is not a one my problem, we have to work together, and true honest Nigerians can live and work in Vietnam, keeping both countries relationship balanced. With all this been said, I hope I get a reply to the question I asked earlier from someone soon.

What Nonsense
WHAT NONSENSE
I Comrade Macdom Ojiako, have read with great surprise, the disdain manner by which we have transformed a social network that is supposedly belonging to the Embassy of our great Country to a thing of scorn and malicious attacks. It is a pity, to say the least that I am most disappointed by the mentioning of names. This site could have been used to fine-tune avenues and ways by which Vietnamess companies and their Nigerian counterparts can run joint business ventures, to the benefit of our Balance Of Payments(BOPs). Moreover, it could have been used to identify Raw Materials and Finished Products and Services which the two countries can exchange by way of Import and Export or to Educate and share ideas. In this era of numerous bombings and killings in Nigeria based on religious sentiment, there is no better time for Nigerians in Diaspora to Unite and stand as a firm unit but our social problems and variance in composition have really overtaking the only humanity left inside of us.

I will briefly discuss some Social Problems of The Nigerian Nation
(1) VARIANCE
Logically, Nigeria can be called an artificial creation with a population which can be best described as heterogeneous, because of the different tongues and different cultures it is made of. Consequent upon this above, the social system of Nigeria has not been able to integrate this differences, for if all policies are implemented to the last word, it might culturally run in opposition to some tribes, which may result to an unhealthy condition for the whole country. This problem is really not caused by our Government, or Constitution per se but by those who amalgamated territories, which aforetime had nothing, like political, religious, cultural or linguistic unity. Before that time there has not existed any form of interaction in culture, religion and otherwise. Judging from the fact that they have had nothing in common before the amalgamation, especially culturally and religiously, it will not be mincing words to say that it may be hard for these people to live together in peace and harmony, and form a unifying policy, which will not at any point infringe on the cultural and religious belief of a section.
The absence of a common loyalty to one religion or culture touches the social problem of Nigeria at the core. The idea of Nigeria Nationhood has not been universally diffused and love of the country is still a distant dream. There is no doubt that economic pressure and emulation of some Europeans and Easterners who take great pride in their countries make many Nigerians also to speak of mother Nigeria, but in the hearts of the majority of the people, their own town, village and tribe make the first claim on their loyalty”.
Nigerian in Diaspora should learn to take their Nigerian brothers and sisters as the same with them, despite ethnic group and cultural beliefs. We should also realize that Nigeria will be better if we all understand that we are one team.
(2) RELIGION
The Grand Religious problem in Nigeria is that between the Muslim dominated North and the Christian dominated South, pagan Southerners residing in the North are also in danger of being tagged Christians and killed at the slightest religious provocation between Christians and Muslims. The reason is because of the different religious dogmas, which these two religions operate. Sometimes it seems as if most of their teachings run in opposite direction against each other.
Moreover, among the Christians there are many sects, each claiming to have the only access to the truth and the kingdom of God. The Roman Catholics claim that they are the first church ordained by Jesus Christ himself and for others to reach the kingdom of God, they must return to Catholicism. The Protestants and Pentecostals accuse the Roman Catholics of breaking the second commandment. It has finally come to the stage where most Christians fight tooth and nail to convert their fellow Christians of other sects, forgetting that there are pagans and others to be converted. To this end, it is almost as hard for a Christian to marry a fellow Christian of another sect as it is for him to marry a Muslim or pagan. Consequently Christians and Muslim hold their religion at the highest esteem and thus has made it a barrier to all compromise and are ready to go to any length on account of it.
Nigerians in Diaspora should not take religion as the yardstick to all negotiations. They should not allow the issue of multi-religion to cause division among them, but utilize it well for whether you call him Chukwu, Oluwa, Allah, Abasi etc, God is one and a kingdom cannot be divided against itself.

(3) TRADITIONAL AND LINGUAL DIVERSITY
Based on the difference in pre-colonial form of governance and development, there has existed a gap among the various tribes of Nigeria, especially on the accepted form of social interaction and solidarity. This is in regard of traditional norms and values. On the above subject, it is crystal clear that there are great differences between tribes in their way of social interaction and reasoning in Nigeria. This is the reason why most times it is usually difficult for a Hausa, Igbo, Yoruba, Ijaw Itshekiri, Bini, Igala, Efik etc to understand his brother from another tribe and vice versa. They see others through their cultural innuendo. Any assessment based on cultural bias or criticism will not be truly fruitful.
Diversity of language is another social problem of Nigeria. Igbo, Hausa and Yoruba are believed to be the major languages spoken in Nigeria. These notwithstanding, there are many other languages and dialects which are spoken in Nigeria. It is the same measure a Nigerian applies in learning the lingua franca(English) that he will also apply to learn other indigenous languages that exist in this country. Even in most big gatherings, The Igbos,The Yorubas and The Hausas all congregate in separate quarters of their own; this shows a mark of separation and cannot help in fostering a proper National Unity.
Nigerians in Diaspora should use the “travellers experience” as a tool to break all cultural barriers. Even though we have diverse languages, we are meant to communicate, “One Nigeria”. Let the WAZOBIA vision be rekindled; after all, our old National Anthem said “Though tribes and tongues may differ, in brotherhood we stand”. Long Live The Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Ka Chineke mezie Okwu.

PLEASE EMBRACE YOURSELFS AND STOP CRITISIM
As the congress leader of Nigeria Union in Vietnam, the congress does not encourage critisms of people's name on line.as claimed by the poster, that the Congress members need educational ASAP,why as an educated fellow, failed to understand the implications before posting?you defiled your self.most importantly,I'Gabriel does not want any body to defend me or the congress online.Gabriel as the leader of congress and the entire congress house does not have any problem with Nigerian Embassy crew.we don't fear any accussation because the the Congress stood and carried it upon them selve to serve and protect the interest of all Nigerians mostly the common and less previllage residing in Vietnam.the congress have not for a minutes carried out their duties with Nigerian Union fund.we fund the congress still contribute to entire union expenditure because that is the only way we can get justitice, equity and firness.we don't entertain fears rather respect and protect the constitution. As we may know, nothing good comes easy.the angels on black coat does not want the dream of congress for all Nigerians residing in Vietnam to be actualized but some day,the truth most surely be prevail. At the the same time,On behalf of Nigerians living in Vietnam,i wan't apologize to the head of mission and all the entire embassy staff to ignore and forgive and continue to play a fatherly rolls.we should all know that washing our dirty linings outside will detriment the image of good Nigerians.when a finger touches oil,it must affect other fingers.pls, fellow Nigerians, lets make a U turn and find a way of making our stay in Vietnam a suitable place for all.he that fight and run away still have an opportunity to... RE: BEWARE .

Firstly, you need Education ASAP.But for now I will classify you as IGNORANT(CE).

Secondly, your lies and false accusation to active and vibrant Team who for example; got the new e-passport to Nigerians in Vietnam,Negotiating on behalf of you and your gangs members,...death sentenced in jail for drugs biz with Vietnamese immigration and police, Maximizing Bi-lateral commerce and investments,....it goes on ......
Thirdly, you disrespect The Elders that are working hard to unite Nigerian community in Vietnam that you and your drug peddling Group :Emeka Igodo,Ounaja Macbeth,Ike Okafor, Gabriel "ukpeke" Nzeogu,....dis organized because of security action President Solomon Bamidele had set for your gang of Drug dealers.
By the way, can you tell of any project or proposal you introduced to the Distinguished Ambassador or staff since they have been there since 1 year now ???
Consequently, "Eyes" are watching and you may soon get your education in prison soon .
BEWARE OF THE IDES OF MARCH !!!"

The poster and his/er clues responding to the issue above claimed to be intellectual's.did any of you sat back to summerize before posting and commenting?
well, the names which mentioned are the congress member of Nigeria Union in Vietnam.Someone like Gabriel sacrificed his time, money, even abordoned his family day/night to bring peace between Nigerians and Vietnamses.until the issue of union came up most of us we know all of you out there Tanishing his image due to your activities and most of your cases he said you are wrong and fought for the interest of the common person.pls i'm begging most of u that have been field with lie in order to get influence or recognition,to be more careful.lets allow the sleeping dog to lie.as i knew for the past two years,Gabriel have been announcing of his resignation sake what was going on.Even the man you claimed to be your President was among the people pleaded that he shouldn't resign.his simple, short and determined words does not mean he not educated.my dear friends, when the wind blow,we shall know who should come for his people rescue now most of you in Viet nam are been duped with false informations as a bark yard business.mentioning of education ASAP"those guys are educated and they are man of their words and thats why they stood up to defend the entire Nigerians.day in day out the issue of Vietnamese immigration and Police mentioned by the poster must surely come up.for the embassy, they should be cautioned.people make jest of them and come to paint the image of their brother in order to acquire favour.if the Ambassador of Nigerian in Vietnam can desend so low to work with rumours and hatred,it will be too ashameful. This man Gabriel stood firmly for all entire Nigerian when no man or woman could speak.he duped nor cheated any Nigeria but he shared the little he has with all nomatter your tribe.gives many daily food shelter until this present admistration.in my own view, the embassy should embrasse peace because Gabriel i know have no time to insult or use an insultive words on people nomatter the situation, talkless of insulting the entire embassy staffs.the ambassador created a division that most Nigerians saw as not right by inviting some Nigerians without any congress member of Nigeria uinon in Vietnam to
Ha Noi for Nigerian Expo, the entire Nigeria saw it as political and personal.if he the ambassodor wanted peace among Nigerian, that would have been the best opportunity to bring back peace among the union.i know what am saying because this accusation may lead many other Nigerians into prison if the matter start because ...i must say that Nigeria Embassy and entire Nigerian should try to be closer to someone who does no not talk much.he has somany to say ...but keep silent.LONG LIVE FED.REP.Of NGERIA
LONG LIVE NIGERIA EMBASSY HANOI LONG NIGERIANS IN VIETNAM.
