Comments on this High Commission
Hi have to fly to Nigeria on Feb 6th. A sunday. I have to send my application off to NHC in Canberra asap. I have all the applications filled in and paid for. I have a letter of invitation from a business I am visiting.
However, I have two different addresses for Deakin and Yarralumla. I don't want to send my passport off to the wrong address. I have tried to call the numbers listed on the website, even the mobile number. I have emailed them. Nobody answers ever. I even went to the Dept of Foreign Affairs in Australian Government to see if they could help me with contact details.
I need to know how quick I can get my passport back (ie next friday!) and I need the correct address. Dept of Foreign Affairs said they have as much trouble as the rest of us getting responses from NHC!
Any ideas?
wanting to travel.. getting conflicting information as to what the visa requirements are and the costs involved....have emailed.. no response...ggrrrr
i need my passport asap- dont tell me you have shut till 6/1/2011
I have been trying to get a new Nigerian Passport since May, i was told that the passport machine is not working that they are expecting someone from Nigeria to come with a new passport Machine, we now in July and they still havent received the new passport Machine. My last conversation with an Employee of the embassy June ending i was told when the New Passport machine arrives it will be posted on thier website but at the moment the website is not functioning. I have tried calling them to check on update but i get the voicemail saying the embassy is now closed and this is at 2pm i thought the embassy closes at 5pm. I am of the opinion that the employees at the consulate are not professionals
i applied in 2008 for entry visa to Nigeria. it was an extremely frustrating experience as it was almost impossible to contact them for advice. my visa arrived a day before I travelled. i am applying for a new visa and cant even find the site, after 3 hours, to fill in the online form. my sister had the same experience last year and I believe its the same at every Naija Embassy worldwide. Why is it so difficult, it is enough to reconsider returning.
