passport renewal

iam a nigeria residing in cape verde for the past 1 month and 3 weeks,i gave the nigerian welfare association my passport for renewal,up till now i have not hear anything,iam not the only one involve,we are up to 7 or there after.sir i will like to know why our passport have been sent to cape verde.your rapid response will be highly appreciated. my e-mail address is abbeyabbey249@yahoo.com.waiting for your reply.
