I'm a Nigerian (student) in Ghana(Ho Polytechnic) but want to obtain my national identity from the embassy for the meantime, kindly advise me on what to do.because i have been encountering difficulty when crossing the border.

Applying for visa
I am an australian resident currently in ghana married to a nigerian resident. I have visited the nigerian high commission in ghana to try and obtain a visa to visit my inlaws, the high commission showed little intrest in assisting me, i don't hold residency in ghana, only australia, i believe it is possible to apply for a visa to nigeria from a country outside my residential country, could you please give me advice on how to go about this
