I am representing the Plantation People's Forum for Alternatives (PPFA) which is a NGO registered under the Ministry of Social Services with the approval of the Ministry of Defense. This was formed in 2009 to look after the issues related to democratic and human rights of plantation workers who are deprived from enjoying the equal opportunities due to illiteracy, ignorance and most importantly due to proper guidance and leadership.
The PPFA consists of educated youth, teachers, experienced NGO activists and University Academics etc.
It implemented two activities connected to building awareness and registration of plantation workers in and voting lists to enable them to take part in elections.
The PPFA is now decided to implement a grater activity covering 40 most affected estates in the Nuwara Eliya district.
The Executive committe ofthe organisation
have decided to approach you5r embassy to see the possibilities to obtain financial assistance for this purpose. We have already formulated a concept paper of the proposed activity and wish to submit to your embassy for consideration.
I shall be thankful if you will let me know the process of your embassy for project proposal. I also shall be thankful if you could give me an opportunity to meet your officials explain our proposal etc.

We are an Organization of Handicapped and engaged in Rehabilitation since 1981 and recently it is stopped. It is due to the political situation here in Sri Lanka. We have not given the opportunity to quote our prices and had no orders for our wheel chairs and Tricycles, Bed room furniture export quality, Ornamental Items out of Wood, T-Shirts and other garment items etc.. We have sales for over the past ten years and we plan to establish a training Section for Computers. We have done it before and now the machines are abandoned and lying at the center. Please help us to purchase some computers and to help us. It is estimated earlier as all the students who have passed the GCE Advance Level and those who can not enter to the University of those with disabilities may apply for the course. We have conducted the course very successfully during the Past years. To start again the project, please inform whether we can forward a project proposal for your consideration. Please reply us at your earliest. We have already prepared a Project Proposal and your reply will be appreciated. The Embassy has helped us in some times earlier.
Thanks and Best Regards.
