Am a nigerian currently working as an au pair in the netherlands,i will be applying for a study visa soon but I lost my birth certificate.will like to ask if I am required to get a new one and if yes,can anyone take it to the embassy for legalisation on my behalf.

I am the Director of the Centre for Human Settlements and Urban Development (CHSUD), which was established by the Federal University of Technology, Minna in 2003, in collaboration with UN-Habitat. The objectives of CHSUD are to assist in Nigerian Development Planning in the area of Human Settlements, Urban Governance and Urban Development; to undertake training and capacity development programmes related to above in order to assist States and Local Governments in their manpower development; Programme development etc. CHSUD is seeking support to build its capability for conducting courses for local government officials and technical advisory services for assisting local governments to design and implement bankable projects aimed at promoting local economic development. The services we hope to be able to render to local governments include: Training Needs Assessment; Training Impact Evaluation; Project appraisal to determine their financial viability, socio-economic desirability and environmental sustainability; Assist local governments to prepare Integrated Development Plans, establish micro enterprises especially agro business; Assisting local governments to establish effective programs for mainstreaming the Informal sector; for Public-Private-Partnerships; and grants to encourage local entrepreneurs; Enhancing internally generated revenue and leveraging same to enable local governments execute infrastructure projects with tangible socio-economic and development impact on residentsetc. We strongly believe that the newly launched NFP Tailor-Made Training will help CHSUD to achieve its objectives. We will therefore be most grateful if you confirm whether or not Nigeria is one of the 61 NFP countries;If so, we will like to know how we can formally submit our application for the tailor-made training.
