We are two tourists who hope to visit Nepal in September. Do we have to apply for our visas at one of your consulates before we travel, or can we get our visas upon arrival in Kathmandu?

We are 2 tourists who will be in Nepal arriving September 18 and departing October 1, 2010.
We will be in Chicago, IL July 6-9. Is it possible for us to bring our passports to your office and apply for our visas at that time?
If so, what are your office hours?
How long would it take to obtain visas?
