Hello Sir, I shall be very grateful if you could publish the full "Requirements for Holiday and Visits" on your webpage.
On Thursday, August 27, 2015, I was at the offices of the High Commission of Namibia to process a visa to enable me attend a conference in Namibia. Before travelling from Palapye to Gaborone (over 270 km), I tried to find out what documents I was required to bring along to support my visa application. I could not get any detailed list on the webpage. So I assembled whatever documents that I thought would be needed based on the advice of the organisers of the conference.
Frustratingly, at the office of the High Commission, I was given a list of requirements which was longer than what had been sent to me by the organisers of the conference in Namibia. More importantly, the new list required CERTIFIED copies of my work and residence permits in Botswana AND three previous months' bank statements. I had to run round Gaborone to get the residence and work permits certified, had to download and print my bank statements from an Internet cafe, etc. But the killer blow came when, I was requested to bring a letter from my employers! I had to travel back to Palapye to get the letter from my employer. Now, I have to travel back to Gaborone on Monday, August 31, 2015, hoping that I will meet the requirements for a visa to Namibia.
My point is that I would have been spared all the inconvenience if that information was on your webpage. I would have gotten ALL the required documents BEFORE making the long trip to Gaborone in the first instance. So kindly do other prospective applicants in the future the favour of letting them know in advance what they have to bring along in support of their applications for visas.
