Visa for mozambique
I am travelling with a group. As an Australian passport holder I was told that my passport has to be sent to London for the visa. I do not want to do this. I was also told that I can get a visa at border crossings and would like to know how much time and docts necessary to facilitate the application as I do not want the group to wait all day for my visa to be processed. also, can you name a few broder corssings. I will be crossing after Kruger Nat Park.

Pls response to biwan@bigpond.com

Recent Mozambique visas
I am an Australian passport holder. I just returned from my first trip to Mozambique. Looking at the comments, maybe I should have conducted more research, but I didn't prior to travel, and just turned up on the doorstep. For Australian and many other passports (I noted American and UK holders in the lineup with me), you just have to pay $66 for a 1 month visa for business/tourism. I cannot comment on some of the lesser known passport origins. There are additional timeframes up to about 12 months (from memory). Take or exchange prior to arrival small denomination USD, as they don't have change (they won't have 4x $1 bills in change and you'll have to make up the difference in another recognised currency, which annoys them, assuming as they do that the whole world relies on the US peso). You'll have a mug shot taken and a whole page visa inserted into your passport. Done, too easy. Cheers all, enjoy your time, it's a pretty nice place.

Visa to visit Mozambique
I will be traveling through Mozambique in June 2011 and am having difficulty in finding out what are the visa requirements for Australian citizens holidaying in Mozambique. My travel agent advised, using information obtained from TRAVCOUR, that I need to complete a visa application and include a copy of ticket or flight itinerary, proof of confirmed hotel reservation with 2 photes. All this documentation then need to be sent to the United Kingdon for processing. TRAVCOUR also advised that tourist visas could be obtained on arrival but only at the airport. My travel agent then contacted the tour company I am travelling with and they stated that tourist visa could be obtained at all border crossings. Can you please confirm for me the best way to obtain a tourist visa for Mozambique?

Visa to visit Mozambique
My friend and are visiting Mozambique as part of a camping safari holiday. We are unsure how to obtain the necessary visa for each of us. Because we are travelling by bus we will not have the option of purchasing the visas at the airport. We both live in Brisbane are you able to offer any advice or information. We fly to Johannesburg on 14 April 2011 to commence the tour. If you could reply to email jarno48@optusnet.com.au it would be appreciated
