I am Kenyan Citizen living in Bujumbura, Burundi.
Recently i met a Mozambican citizen who has been languishing in Police custody for over 2 months because he was arrested for not having a passport.
The gentleman says his passport was lost, unfortunately communication is very difficult with him as he cant speak english, Kiswahili or any other language understood here.
The police seem to have even forgotten that he exists, there.
The guy is really suffering and is only helped with food by fellow inmates as the police do not provide food to suspects in their custody.
Please intervene urgently!
