Comments on this Embassy
If you put your hand in your pocket when calling they might answer. they will think you are going to bribe them. That is how the system works in morocco
Morocco Morocco Morocco! I left 30 years ago, and I have never looked back... No need or interest to go back there to settle, despite the fact that I have my family and my mom there. When I see the service and the arrogance of the staff at the Moroccan consulate and embassy, their mediocrity makes me cringe. Despite the fact that they live and work here in the US, they still keep that retarded authoritative Moroccan mentality of the Mekhzan. Shame on you Moroccan authorities!
I just was reading the comments about nobody answer calls at the embassy. It is incredible, but the same thing is happening to me.
They answer phone I call one time they answer I think that is good
I have filed both forms I-130 and I-129F from my wife and we are waiting for the response. I have been trying to do some research with the Moroccan Embassy to see if they can possible help but looking at the post here I do not think so.
Same as my fellow Moroccans, I've been calling the consulate in DC and in NY for days to ask how one can do a "copie certifiee conforme" of my degrees that I need to use in Morocco. Of course, no one answered any of my phone calls, so I decided to take the originals and copies of my degrees and drive from Owings Mills, MD to the consulate in DC (over 53miles each way). When I got there, I was told that they cannot do what I wanted. They said that American degrees should first be translated and legalized by the American Department of state, and that I should search and find out myself how to do the same with some of the degrees that I received from France. The counselor in charge of consular affairs, Amina Selmane, told me that this is the law, and when I asked her to show me an official document stating this law clearly, she first said that she has to finish what she was doing (some work for the ambassador as she claimed), and then she said that she wasn’t sure if such document can be found online and even if it can, her internet connection was down at that moment. Shame on this people. By the way, this same lady refused to register my kids on the family book using their names as they appear on their American birth certificates. She said that we Moroccans don’t use middle names. But when I insisted and refused to change the names that we chose for our kids on the Moroccan “livret d’etat civil”, she accepted. This shows that there was no law at this regard but she was just refusing at first because she felt like doing it. If I had believed her and accepted what she was saying, my kids would have ended up with birth certificates (Morrocan/American) that have different names. Can you imagine the consequences of this!!!!
I hope to get this complaint to the Ambassador or even to Mr. Saad Eddine Alothmani. Please send me any contact info to do so (rachidf@hotmail.com).
I've calling the so called Embassy several times a day and I kept receiving no answers, I am wondering where everyone is!!!!!!!!
You're here to serve the Moroccan community not to ignore and If you can't do it, get the hell out. Tazzzzzzzzzzzz 3likoum azbal
i guess, our consulate offices ,are either shopping at the mail or having extra hours in different business. if you call to Morocain Embassie, you are under your own risk.
I still can not believe our Consulate offices still don't have the basics to accommodate the needs of fellow moroccans. Answer phone calls or set up voicemail box. Shame on you...Shame on you...Shame on you.
I BELIEVE THIS IS THE WORSE EMBASSY , THEREFORE,YOU NEVER ANSER PHONE , EVEN THE VOICE MSG ITS NOT SET UP
OR IT S FULL
