I have been planning a holiday to Morocco for some time. As a historian I was looking forward to visiting the old cities and seeing the countryside. But I have just learned of a report in the Guardian on Thursday 16 October 2014 about how a visitor from England suspected of breaking one of Morocco's laws was treated. I think that visitors to a country should respect its laws but I also think that suspects should be treated fairly and given access to diplomats and lawyers. Sadly I have come to the conclusion that Morocco is not yet a country I could visit and I would urge my fellow citizens who might be planning to visit, to reconsider their decision.

Passport validity.
Hi there,I'm travelling to Marrakech for a long w/end from 11th-15th Sept. My Irish passport expires on 22nd Sept and the Irish passport office said it's ok to travel with it whilst I wait for my renewal passport - is the true?
Thanks,
Tara.
