Comments on this Consulate-General
When I went in August to get a work visa for Mongolia, the service was quite prompt; I received the visa that afternoon. I am an American and paid 27,930 rmb or $133. However, the passports were handed back through a fence and no receipts were given. Apparently the fax machine at the consulate doesn't work, so I'm not sure how to go about this. When I've called, I've gotten a message in Chinese. I'll try calling again, but does anyone have a tip on how to go about getting a receipt?
