Confusion>
I was told to contact the office in Montreal to have my newfoundland birth certificate certified. I called and realised they only speak spanish and frech. I had a french speaking friend call and get some info for me. The person on the phone did not know where newfoundlad was or what it was. They said it was a city or a part of Nova Scotia. After trying to convince them that Newfoundland is a province in Canada, the person hung up on us.
What do I do now? I wish that they spoke english so I could have tried communicating with them and maybe told them to google MAP of CANADA. They would see that Newfoundland is just to the right of Quebec on the map.

Taking a car To Mexico
My wife and I have purchased a home in Playa del Carmen and wish to take a vechicle from Canada and leave it at our home. Do we need an FM-3 to allow us to leave the car in Mexico when we are not there?

Marriage in Mexico
I am a Canadian and I tried to get married in Mexico but your birth Certificate and divorce papers (if any) must be translated into Spanish by the Mexican Consulate.
We got married in Los Angeles.
Also, Church Weddings are not legla like they are in Canada.
A Legal Marriage in Mexico MUST be performed a "Civil" process.

mexican retiree visa for canadians
Last summer I drove 300km for an appointment for my retiree visa.It cost me $50 in gas, $22 in Parking, $13 for a prepaid postal envelope to get my passport back, $$29 to get my documents notarized, a trip to RCMP to get my police clearance letter, and a whole lot of bank statements printouts PLUS the $100 CASH I had to leave at the consulate for my $98 fee.
NOW I am in Mexico and I am told that I have to go through the whole Process AGAIN to exchange my FMM for a non immigrant card to be allowed to stay one year. I have purchased a fancy condo in Puerto escondido oxa and a brand new car and I am really INSULTED.

Dogs to Mexico
We have taken our dog and cat to Mexico several times. Your dog will need the normal vaccinations given in Canada. He must have rabies protection. Our dog also gets the Parvo shot. These shots you need are normally given by the Vet every ear. By the way we have never asked to show the paper. Just asked if we have it.
