I'm Libyan resident in Malta since June 2008, holder of Maltes I.D. No. 0060922A & holder of residence permit No. M00014859. My son had a Maltese visa which expired last Feb 29, 2011, he is the only one in my family who has no a visa now. My wife & kids will come to Malta but the problem that my son needs a visa. As you are aware about situation in Libya now; your embassy in Tripoli is closed, therefore; I kindly ask you if it's possible that my son can apply for Maltese visa in your embassy in Tunis. Whilst thanking you in advance for your kind cooperation, I remain in anticipation of your reply at your earliest convenience; please.

on wednesday 18th august i was due to depart from Tunis airport on the 10.30 flight to Malta,my family and i, as also all maltese passengers on the same flight as me were made to feel like criminals.my husband me and my 13 year old daughter were taken into a room and told to open our suitcases our clothes were taken out of the suitcases by this security officer no mannerisms at all after all this we finally managed to close our suitcases again,we went through passport control then we went through another handbag check where my purse was opened without my knowledge money tipped into a blue tray my daughter was given a body check without my consent.each time we were always asked if we were maltese,it seemed only maltese people were being checked this way.ANYWAYafter all is said and done Tunisia lost out, I as well as all other maltese on this flight will never ever step foot in tunisia again i will find a country that treats its guests as should be.Also please give your airport officials a course in customer care please and thankyou can go such a long way
