Relocating to Melbourne
I am a Maltese-Australian that has been living and working in Malta for the past twelve years. Are there any employment opportunites within the embassy? I would like to relocate to Melbourne and work in a maltese related field. My conversational maltese is of a high standard.

I wish everybody would learn to spell before they post a comment on this site as you are making Maltese sound like they are all idiots, especially the gentlemen that was responding about Maltese born in Egypt.

No customer service
I have been trying to obtain a maltese passport for a while now,I was born in malta in 1957 and have lived in Australian since I was 6 years old. I can't believe all the crap I have to go through to obtain a passport as my birth certificate is hand written thus making my birth certificate void. To top it off I have misplaced my passport from the 70's which has expired so I am required to go and make a police statement. Talk about red tape. Has anyopne else had the same thing happen to them. I have tried to obtain a new birth certificate by emial and have had no reply, lucky my dad is in malta on holidays at the monment and after a few appointments has managed to get my a bith certificate. There has to be a better way of trying to sort out these issues.
Is there anyone out there that has had similiar issues but has been able to obtain a passport?
