To Tengku syafiq
Your position is hypocrital and frankly, an embarassment to your religion.

Italy is a Christian state. But nobody cares if 100 or 1000 or 10000 copies of the Koran are brought in. If the government did stop these Korans from coming in, you would be all over the internet screaming about how unfair that is.

The double-standard from muslims is tiresome and childish. Either you are secure enough in your faith to freely tolerate other religions, or you are afraid that your faith is too weak to withstand rhetorical competition. You can't have it both ways.

Can i say something??
i just wondering if i can answer the question from barbara on behalf of the high commission??
Regarding the copies of Bible,You need to remember that Malaysia is actually an Islamic state with other religion as minor. The Law stated that Any distribution of any document from any religion is allowed with some restricted and it is on behalf of the government themself.Imagine 300 bible entering Saudi Arabia for example which is also an Islam country.Recently there have been an attempt by a Christian movement to convert youth by confusing the word in the Bible resulting a mass riot which almost destroyed a church. We are actually trying to save the christian and muslim from any foreign items entering this country. So please be considerated ma'am .There is no use of INSULTING our religion, our holy book and our prophet. What you've wrote just showed to us how your own religion were acting on us just as your people ignored the people of Palestine.Even muslim believe in the first revelation to prophet Jesus himself so why are you acting as if we've just kill your family??

A question for Mr Ambassador
Mr Ambassador,
Over 30,000 copies of "Gideon's" New Testament Bibles have been with held at a port in Malaysia.Officials will not release them on the grounds that they have words of the "Qu'ran" contained in them!!!
If you follow that wrong logic, the 'Qu'ran' is actually the book that should not be being distributed!!!
The writings of the New Testament were written over 400 ++ years before the "Qu'ran"!!! The Bible both Old Testament (which is even older recorded writings) and the New Testament, are historically proven and established documents, which have been proven correct in courts of law!!!
In actual fact some writings in the Bible have been included in the "Qu'ran"!!! It is well documented that Muhammed had some knowledge of the Christian teaching of his time - one of his wives was a Christian!
Using the argument of those who are with holding the 30,000 New Testament books, it is the New Testament books that should be distributed and not the "Qu'ran"!!!
I do hope those New Testament books will be released, as soon as possible, by your Government, for distribution by the Gideon's organization who do lots of good in the community!!!
