hi,my child was born in south africa and the mother is from lesotho. i have a difficulty in registering my child coz the mother does not have a passport.why dos lesotho passport always take long to be issued.my child is suffering a very serious harm coz he has to go to school next year and it won't be possible to be enroled without a birth certificate.please help

If a child is born in south africa and one between the parents is a south african, then the child can get south african citizenship whether the mother is a lesotho born or vise-verse. It will all depend on the agreement this both parties will agree upon. The mother of my child is a lesotho born and our daughter has a birth certificate even though we are not officialy married.
I have a SA I.D and married in Lesotho. can my daughter obtain an I.D
my heart aches for those who reaally need citizenship but DHA gives you the run-around.If one of your parents is a legal South African citizen, you qualify to attain citizenship.
your birth cert should show the name of that parent who holds SA ID, then fill in DHA forms.
