This is Sunee. i am a Chinese citizen, now living in yasothon, thailand. my visa here in thailand is good untill 7th,june,2013. so i plan to go to china to do my visa before that.
i am going to go to kunming by bus through laos. (bus is from vientiane,laos to kunming,china). so i will go to nongkai first , then go to vientiane. then is my visa for thailand ok for me to go to laos to take bus to kunming?
i checked online, some say i need to do visa on arrivial, some say do visa transit, some say can't. i am not sure, so plz help me to find out what i should do then i can take the bus from vientiane to kunming.

Hi, I am a laos citizen in chiang mai. the thai immigration have stopped issuing residency letters for a motor bike licence renewal. they say i have to get one from you or Khon Kaen, is this correct and do I have to visit the consulate, and can it be done in one day?

Its very easy to get the Laos visa. You have to go to the embassy personally and hand over the documents. Which is the Application form and a passport size photograph. They give you the visa on the same day. usual cost is THB 1600 per passport. if u want to collect it on the same day u have to pay THB 200 extra. They don't ask for bank statements or for air tickets to get this visa.
