I and my wife Tatyana Manokhina visited the China Consulate yesterday to apply for a china tourist visa but when the representative saw she held a Kazakhstan Passport we were told they were unable to issue her a visa. We told them she had obtained one previously some years ago but was told there had been a change of policy recently. She is also a Permanent H.K .ID Holder .
I have since reviewed the China Consulate Visa website but cannot find any ref. to this restriction.
Is your office aware of this situation if so what are you or the Kazakhstan government doing about it?
