DISSAPOINTED
As a foreigner living in Korea for 6 years, I just had the worst experience at Japan embassy. Just couldn't imagine I was treated so badly in my process getting into japan and spend some Yen as a tourist.

First of all I was shocked that how unhelpful the website of Japan Embassy in Korea(http://www.kr.emb-japan.go.jp/) was, that it is not in English, I just couldn't imagine an advanced and developed country like Japan is so inconsiderate assuming other foreigners to understand everything written in Korean on their website.

After that, I have been very disappointed and upset by the way I have been spoken to by the staff while trying to obtain a visa during my visit to Japan Embassy in Seoul at 1st April morning (Counter 5). While applying in person I was made to feel stupid and a mere annoyance, the lady practically made me to feel like a criminal because I had simply did not bring the photocopy of the documentation, she was practically shouting to me like I was her ex-boyfriend when I told her the website of Japan Embassy of my country (English written) does not require me to bring one.

Telephone experience was not pleasant as well when I called to inquire about the status of my visa. That lady simply interrupted when I was speaking (twice), and speak with annoyed and frustrating tone like I was her previous boyfriend.

In fact, I was greeted with polite manners and smile when I went to apply for other visas (India, United States, Korea and Singapore). Japan is no longer wonderful and civilized country to me and I can only relate rude, arrogant and disrespectful of Japanese people. I was extremely offended by way Japan treat its potential tourist in the country (fully acknowledged of the illegal immigrants in Japan, but I was not treated like this while applying visas for other developed countries). The Japanese government should feel grateful that people are still willing to travel in your country despite the risk of radiation exposure. At least tourism can play some role in recovering the economy.
