Sir Madam, in 1982 i had a cargo boat trading around the PNG islands, I meet the ship captain on a mission boat the saint Teressa, in 1989 i was working out side of Rabual and meet him again , and became firm friends.
After 13 years in PNG i retuned home to New Zealand, but before i left he drew a map of the postion of 150 Samarai swords that were buried at sea off Bougainville, he was a Sergent in the marine section of the Australian army in 1945, and was resposible for this burial, these swords he told me were buried with Reverance, wrapped up in grease proof paper, 2 were from very high ranking officers. I am getting on in years, and allthough i have been asked many times to reveal there wereabouts i have not. please do you know of any society or person that would be interested in this map. yours Sincerly Kenneth Horsfall
