scientist sentenced to jail
I find it med-evil that Italy should bring the scientist to face trial.
I live in Christchurch the unpredictable nature of earthquakes is well known and scientist do there best to model earthquakes but we all know here in Christchurch there is no certainty in there forecasting. My thoughts goes out to the families of the scientist and the scientist themselves.
I have been to Italy this year and find the Italian people hospitable and intelligent,I would not expect a to read a trial such as this in such an advanced western society

Marco Polo - a glassware shop in Venice
If anyone is planning to go to Venice and buy a glass piece to be shipped home, DON'T GO ANYWHERE NEAR THIS SHOP. I bought a NZ$10,000 beautiful glass yacht there last September. Despite assurances to the contrary, it arrived broken because it had not been properly secured in the carton; but the shop has been utterly hopeless. I've sent tens of photos of the packaging as it was opened. I don't want my money back. I just want an unbroken replacement. But now I am just being ignored. Hopefully, the Consulate can help. I have sent them copies of all my emails.
