Visa
My daughter needs a visa to study abroad in Florence this Fall, 2011. We live 3 hours away from Boston and their hours are very limited (mornings, M/W/F). Can we get the Visa thru the honorary consulate in RI. Also, we cannot get info on how far in advance she needs to do this. She leaves August 27.

From The John H. Chafee Center for International Business at Bryant University
Greetings,

We are a team of students Bryant University consulting for and carrying out market research for Greystone Inc. in Lincoln, Rhode Island. This company is in the chrome plating business, more specifically in the thin-dense chrome plating and is looking to establish operations in Italy, in the Pisa area. Their business consists of making surfaces that are exposed to strong pressures and/or frictions sturdy and smooth.

Our job, as their consultants, is to determine what applications the company could have in the medical field, regarding tools, or any other objects that might need the plating type Greystone does.
We are writing to you to inquire regarding the most current news and implementations of the RoHS directive in Europe, as well as in Italy. Our interest is to find what specific restrictions apply to medical tools and devices, which could potentially use chrome plating, and whether this type of plating technique is allowed at all in the medical field in Italy.

Any type of documentation and/or clarifications you would like to share with us would be highly appreciated.

For any information please reply to this email or contact Gerald Cohen at the Chafee Institute.

Kind Regards,

The Chafee Center Market Research Team at Bryant University.
