Italian American Club of the Plantation at Leesburg
We are a newly formed Club whose mantra is socialization, cultural heritage, and service to others. With more than 100 current paid members, the Club began in June 2011 as a vehicle for Italian American retirees in the Leesburg Florida community - The Plantation to gather and share their Italian heritage. The Club has had a successful Christmas Party which was preceded by an Italian cookie making event at the home of the Club's Secretary Deanna Saxton. The Club's second event was an Italian Dessert Night open to everyone in the Plantation Community. This event was sold out quickly and people had to be turned away. A bigger venue has been reserved for next year's cookie nite. Then, 42 members of the Club went to Magianno's Restaurant for a spectacular luncheon. Our Club year will conclude in May with a BBQ and installation of new officers. As our Consulate, I would like to invite you or your representative to attend one of our meetings.
