My son and his mother are both italian citizens. She is unable to get a passport for him even with a letter from me, giving her permission. I have tried to call the embassy, but only been connected with messages. My question is what do I need to bring with me to the consulate to resolve this situation. Also, when should I come? Morning, afternoon? What day?

My wife is a Colombian citizen planning a trip to Italy. Does she need a visa? and if so can she obtain one here in miami. I understand I, as american do not need one.
