Any American who considers a visit to Italy must consider the risk. My wife and I have been twice, but not again. It is apparent the judicial system is bias against Americans. This country is now known for olive oil, Mafia, and prosecuting Amanda Knox has eliminated itself as a place to visit. A second rate country with third world justice.

Roman Bath Tile from Pompei
Dear Sir or Madame, I visited Pompei on April 2, 1973, and while at one of the baths, my foot kicked
a small white tile which I picked up; I tried to get
the attention of our guide who was giving us a
lecture on the baths and when he would not respond,
I put the tile in a pocket for safe keeping and
forgot about! It was not until I got home to wash
our clothes that I re-discovered it. I put it into
an antique stamp box and was prepared to send it to
you at the time. Obviously, I again forgot, and
while cleaning out my hope chest recently, there it was!! I am so very sorry that it has taken so long to let you know about this precious little tile that must be over 2,500 years old! Also, as I am approaching my 85th birthday , am trying to tie up the loose ends of my life and really want you to have the tile as I feel it is an important piece of your history.
May I have a secure address to return it to, please?
