burials of the Pelosi family in ancoats manchester
HI, I am trying very hard and have searched various sites into where my ancestors were buried in Manchester.
They came over from picnisco Italy around 1900, their names Were Gaetano and Giacinta pelosi, they had 4 children Micheal my grandfahter, Nancy, Carrie, Esther my great aunts.they started out as organg grinders. I am willing to pay a fee if you could be so kind as to find out where i can visit their cemetry. They lived in Ancoats at no3 or 7 jersey street. They can be found in the 1901 census as a complete famliy. In the 1911 census their is only Giacinta who is now widowed and Micheal. Micheal married Catherine Arnold my grandmother and came to live in edinburgh where they are both buried in mount vernon cemetry.

the manchester internet site is not working properly
this ridicoulos decision of closing all provincial consulates and moving everything to london is a big step backward ,at the time of Bizantium. To obtain a new passport one is requested to travel to london from the very north of england as just booking an appontment to see someone in manchester is impossible, their site is not working properly and after at least 50 try i am forced to give up to the idea of having a renewed italian passsport, Th solution seems to me to become a british citizen. The responsible personel of the consulateS should feel highly embarrased.BUT WILL THEY?

have an italian passport but will be getting a british one
I am an italian citizen living here in the uk for over 55 years. I have always been proud to be italian but the time has sadly come in that - I will not be renewing my italian passport but apply to become british. I have had enough of the rude and patronising italian consulate staff - they do not have an ounce of good customer relations. They are supposed to be there to help us italians but in my experience it is the last place where I feel you could get help. So sad but that's how it is. Everytime I come away I am more confused than when I went in! Don't expect to get any help there I am ashamed to call myself italian!
