Comments on this Consulate-General
Dear Sir or Madam,
I have been resident in Italy since about 2005 with a codice fiscale and carta di residenca.
I am Australian married to an English citizen who is resident in Italy with me.
I had a permesso for the first year and when it expired I was told at the Uffio di Stranieri that I now must have permission to stay in my husbands country and that permessi were no longer allowed for people in my situation. Fortunatly I had this.
Recently the foreign office near to my house contacted me and informed me that thelaw had changed again and that i now need a permesso and that to do that i need to bring a translated marriage certificate to you in London and have it confirmed and then take it back to them.
Please advise as to the daysm hours and address that I can bring you my original marriage certificate and its translation for you to authenticate. (see below for more information)
I have tried to call the number on your web site but it is not a valid number and does not work.
Thanks and
With Kind Regards,
Rebecca Agar

Good Morning, Please I have lived in Italy for 15 Years and have a carta illimita issues in 2012, am married but recently moved to the Uk.. would like to know if I can still travel to Italy with it.. Thank YOU
I have tried to contact a representative for the Italian
consulate at several addresses, which I have obtained on line, each time I am informed either the number is unobtainable or they do not deal with passport renewal.
Is this another example of Italian efficiency!!
information by phone is negative try to send e mail impossible do not no what too do anymore
I am trying to contact someone to renew my passport. In Peterborough they have supplied an identity card but I need a passport and it is impossible to contact anybody in authority to complete this simple operation. Do you prefer I change my nationality and get off your books??.
Aldo
I have tried numerous times to get hold of someone to speak to at the embassy, my brother applied for his Italian tax code on 30th March 2016, and still has had no reply, you can never get to speak to anyone at the consulate, the call centre goes around in a loop and the call never get answered. I honestly have no idea how they operate (if at all). Their time frame for an italian tax code is 1,5 to 2 months, this has now been more than 3 months. Totally unacceptable and unprofessional, even given their work load/pressure
It is three months now I still don't have my passport there is no way and got a reply no text no email no phone call I still don't have my passport if I tried contact the embassy no reply still don't have a password and I don't know where it went it is absolutely ridiculous that you can't speak to any operator I sent five emails for recorded messages still didn't heard anything from the Italian consulate
I've been trying for three months to get in touch to wipe the Italian embassy for my passport left to recorded messages left another message sent to emails have no passport can't go anywhere and don't have any reply from the consulate it is really ridiculous I don't know how to get my passport since where ever iPhone there can't deal with this because it is the wrong office nobody will talk to you and nobody will help you
I have been trying for nearly a month to renew my Italian passport and spent over £60 on phone calls . I was told to go to Peterborough 62 miles from my home when I arrived was told she could only get me an identity card and I have to travel back to Peterborough to collect it another 124 miles return and now have to go to London anyway this passport is important as my brother is very ill and I will need to go home in a hurry????
