PLEASE CAN YOU SEND ME AN APPLICATION
I am first generation italian to be born in Chicago. My parents, grandparents were all born in Lucca, Italy. I lived in pescia, italy from 1979-1981. My parents were granted italian citizenship right before I was born. In 1958 according my research, there was no option of dual citizenship and ital citizenship had to be renounced which I believe is a great injustice. My fiancee lives in Pisa and I would like to join him in Italy and we want to wait 1 year before marriage so how can I stay in Italy beyond 3 mths legally? I appreciate anyone's feedback, thank you.
I just found my father's certificate of naturalization papers. The date was March 15,1960. I was born on March 6,1960. Am I a duel citizen? My son is currently in Rome studying. He has joined the Italian National Lacrosse team. He needs to become a duel citizen. The question becomes, am I already duel and what does he need to do. Ane help?
I was married in Chicago on June 27,1970. In 1975 we moved back to Italy, I brought all my papers with me certifying my marriage to Guglielmo DiVita. Now the Comune di Capannori Provincia di Lucca tells me they cannot find anything regarding the marriage act. What should I do to have the transcript of my marriage act. Thank you for your help.
My husband and I have been married for 7 years, he is an Italian citizen how can I get citizenship?
Unfortunately you cannot get dual Italian Citizenship based on a Great Grand Parent. I got it because my Mother was never an American Citizen. I believe you may also be able to get it via a Grand Parent but I recommend you go to the Italian Counsel Official website to confirm. It is a very long process but don't waste your time if neither your parents or grandparents were from Italy. My wife's Dad was from Italy and he became an American before her birth and he is now deceased. Since he renounced his Italian Citenship and is no longer alive to get his dual, she couldn't even get it via his lineage but will be able to get it because she is married to me.
My Great grandfather came from Italy through Ellis Island. I believe he was from Calabria. How can I track down his birth cirtificate so that I can get dual citizenship? Saw a previous post that someone has spent alot of money to no avail. Please help!
I am first generation Italian living in America. Both my parents and all my grandparents were born and raised in Italy. I lived in Italy for 2 years as a little girl attending first grade there. Then, my parents moved back to America. Some rules state that depending on the year that your parents became Americans, etc, we siblings can't become Italian citizens, even though they still have dual citizenships. I am one of few first generations left in America who speak fluent italian, and also own business in Italy through my parents, yet I can't become Italian citizen because of a year that my father became American? Yet, others with no Italian blood can become citizens? help me to understand this. Thank you.
I am a FIlipino Priest who just arrived this 9th of June here in Illinois. I'm on vacation here, and was given until the 8th of December to stay here, based on my B1/B2 US Visa. Some of my filipino friends legally working in Italy, whom I was with when I studied in Rome in 1999-2003, want me to visit them even for a month, from here, and be back here again. How can I obtain an Italian Visa here in Illinois?
