requesting Italian citizenship for my children
I, Mirka Papin, am an Italian presently living in Manila, my husband is Canadian. I would like to get Italian citizenship for my 4 children born in Bangkok. The Italian embassy in Manila told me I must register the children at the Italian embassy in Bangkok as they are born there. I have been trying to call the Italian embassy in Bangkok but the phones are down.I have sent letters to your email but have not gotten any reply, my friends in Bangkok have visited the embassy but where turned down. I requested an appointment via your website for my friends living in Bangkok to help me with the paper work. My question is this: Can my friends do the paper work in my behalf so I don't have to travel to Bangkok? And, what papers must be presented for the registration of my children born in Bangkok to get Italian citizenship and an Italian passport? (my children are Canadian citizens)
Please can you help me? I would like to get Italian citizenship for my children this year.

HERO - Contact Number??? Schengen Visa Requirements?
Hi Hero, I hope you can help me.

I called the Embassy today - both phone lines said OUT OF SERVICE. Is there another, new number for them?

I am a British citizen with a UK passport, and got married in Thailand as a UK citizen. We have the Marriage Certificates in Thai, and registered in Thailand.

What I'd like to know is: what documents/fees are required from my wife and I for her application for a Schengen Visa to visit Italy for 8 days this October? Do we need to have the Marriage certificate translated into Italian, or into English, or both? Do we need to have the Marriage certificates notarized at the UK Embassy, ot the Italian Embassy, or both? Also , does my wife need to have a new passport issued with the change of last name (she has not done this yet)? Finally, is the documentation/fees for application the same whether we are married or not?

I would appreciate any help on this!

Regards

Michael (you can email me directly)

Group application for visa to Italy for the world congress medical conference
Dear Sir,
We, a group of medical instructors at Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University have arranged to
go for the World Congress of Menopause in Rome from 6-13 June 2011. Everything is booked in advanced, air tickets, hotel accommodation, registration to the Congress.
After we tried to book for visa application, it was on line booking and the appointment date we got is 9 June 2011. Unfortunately we rang an officer there and she kindly told us to send documents of registration for the congress to proof the necessity to go there. We found out later that the website we applied may be the old one (but still working at the time , around mid April). We have tried our best to apply for visa since we have one complete month left before the Congress and were told to wait for some people's cancellation till now. Please advise what to do now and the Italian Embassy webside tells that we can walk in for visa application (Is it true?). Please reply to my e-mail address siktc@mahidol.ac.th.
With best regards.

Italian Emassy's address.
Dear Barry.

I'm very surprised to note that on the Italian Embassy web, both in English and Italian, it appears the old address of the Embassy and not the new one. Also it does not appear the ZIP Code regarding the new location area in BKK!
Please, be so kind to let me know the new address and its ZIP Code.

Thank you in advance.

Kind Regards.

Mario DALLARA
