I, the undersigned applicant, am Somali refugee, who have been hanging in the balance since my arrival in my country of refuge, plead to extend your sympathy and compassion to the ordeals I have gone through this time around, as time is off the essence.
I have been subjected to discrimination following a false accusation of being evil eye. Words are circulating like a forest fire in the community where I have been living and locked me indoors in lest of mob justice. Believe in the evil eye is strongest in Eastern Africa and I would be subjected to mob justice any time soon.
I can’t back to Somalia no life no peace there are nothing I was waiting 6 years unhurt still they don’t have anything for me
Thus I would like to request your esteemed office to give great consideration to my plight and provide me an opportunity to lead a normal and peaceful life.

I am ayoung Somali national with Refugee status in Nairobi Kenya . I arrived Kenya in January 2009 looking for protection and asylum after I met life threat in my homeland due to the fact that I belong to minority clan of AShraf whom other tribes consider them as low cast and second class citizens .
In October 2008 my elder sister was forced to marry on of AlShabab fighters approached to my father and they asked to marry my elder sisiter he replied that he will consult with her on the matter they came to him after two days and he said she is not happy with the marriage but they were angered on that and said you are the one who encouraged her to refuse marriage they threatened that they will marry her by force as a result they abducted her and we heard that she was married by force
In late 2008 they started to recruit youth by force they instructed my father to bring me to their camp for training they gave him one day he then managed my escape to Kenya . On 25December 2013 I heard father who worked as supplier who sells vegetables to AMISOM troops was killed by AlShabab due to his work because they don't allow any Somali person to coordinate with foreign troops prior to his assassination they looked for him several times however he used to move from place as he knew that he is targeted and may be killed he planned to relocate to marks town where we had some relatives but unfortunately he was captured by AlShabab as he was coming from balad where he bought vegetables that he was intending to sell for AMISOM they took him to balli doogle area where he was arrested for ten days then they brought him to their court where he accused of cooperating with foreign troops as a result he sentenced to death without appeal and free justice when he was killed they dissemineted information of his killing through their local radio
I entered Kenya in January 2009 where I submitted my case to UNHCR Nairobi branch who issued for me Refugee status mandate
Despite the fact that I registered by UNHCR affice in Nairobi as an urban refugee with Refugee status however I am facing harassment and discrimination from local authorities who do not consider my documents further more recently they engaged in widespread campaign to hunt all urban refugees who are registered to deport them to their homeland on 5April 2014 I was arrested in kasarani stadium for four days
