Birth certificate
I have been trying to get a copy of my daughters birth certificate from Births, Deaths & Marriages in Lusaka since March 2010. Through a friend, a request was made to the Irish Embassy in Lusaka, what a pleasant surprise to get a direct phone call from the embassy offering to help. First response in 10 months, well done Irish Embassy

Scholarships
I would like to know the criteria used in awarding scholarships to prospectives students wishing to pursue programmees of study in Ireland. Assuming one has already secured a school place. A friend of mine was offered a place by Kimmage and applied for scholarship but she only received a letter from the embassy informing her that her application was unsuccessful. It would be good to inform 'unsuccessful' applicants why their applications were not successful.
