Please advise if I would qualify for an ancestral passport or visa if my great grandfather was born in IRELAND. I am South African and would like to become a carer in the UK.I have a copy of his birth certificate.

I have just come from the Irish Embassy. Their office hours are 08h30 to 1pm. Frank who runs the office has a wealth of information and all the forms you need to apply / renew etc and he will advise you over the phone.

This is not a question and answer service. Use your heads, r more importantly your fingers, and phone the consulate.
Kindly let me urgently have form and whatever is required to obtain replacement passport. Mine was stolen in burglary/attack on my home on 9th March 2013. Hout Bay case no. 106.
Where do I apply for an Irish Passport as my father and his Father and his father were all born in Ireland
My husband and I need to renew our Irish Passports but I can't get through to the listed Cape Town telephone number on this web site,it just rings continually and is never answered. Is there another number we could try.
