Irish citizen - Irish passport application lost in limbo?
As a holder of Irish citizenship (Irish mother) I applied for an Irish passport through the Paris Embassy, received on 4th May 2016. Fee paid was taken from my bank during May, but I still have no passport and no way of finding out where the application is, since the "tracking" provided on the application form (with number) is not effective for passports applied for through Irish Embassies. The telephone system is saturated (45 minutes wait,no answer), my greatest worry is that my application included originals of my Birth Certificate, Mother's Birth Certificate, Parents Marriage Certificate, and I will need these returned - I wonder when? Can anyone help me?
