Attestation of Documents
Good day Sir,

I am currently working in Iraq in the Missan Province, Halfaya Oil field. I have been instructed to get a HIV and Hepatitis test done in South Africa and have it attested by the Iraqi Embassy before being allowed to travel back to Iraq.
Must I make an appointment before hand or can I do a walk in at the embassy?
Please advise.
Kind Regards
Joe

Iraq work visa
I have been working and living in Kurdistan region of Iraq for some time.

The easiest way is to find an employer to hire you. They apply for a permit to enter the country and e-mail this to you. Print it out and show at port of entry Immigration Officer once you land. They will give you a 30-day visa in your passport. Your employer then immediately applies for your "ikamma". This is your temporary residence card, which is valid for one year or the duration of your contract.

Note: Without the entry permit, you will not be allowed to board your flight in South Africa.

*VERY IMPORTANT: Make sure whether the region you will be working is Iraq or Kurdistan region, as this will affect the visa requirements.
