The ACK St James School is a Christian primary institution that seeks to help children with to acquire basic education in the remote areas of Lelan, West Pokot County. We currently have enrolled over 200 pupils (nursery and primary). This year we have up to standard five.
The ACK St James School realizes that, from a business standpoint, no resource is as important as the human resource. In an effort to ensure our students have every academic advantage necessary to excel as productive members of the community and, perhaps most importantly, society at large, we are reaching out to leaders in hopes that they will join us in our ACK St James School computer donation program.
Microsoft founder, Bill Gates, is quoted as saying:
If you give people tools, and they use their natural ability and their curiosity, they will develop things in ways that will surprise you very much beyond what you might have expected.
Unfortunately, in these dire economic times, the ability of school systems such as ours to get the tools necessary to help our students surprise all of us beyond expectations is imperiled. That is why we’re asking for your help in donating your used computers and computer systems to ACK St James School so that our students may have access to simple, yet critical, learning advantages such as the internet, word processing, and spreadsheet creation, as well as the opportunity to gain lifelong computing skills.
We are asking you to please look around your office and donate any computers that you may no longer need, even if the computers may need minor repairs. If you would still like to give, but do not have an computer, consider giving a cash donation.
Let me thank you in advance for your time and support
Sincerely,
NAPHTALI KORII
School Director
