I have sumitted my application for a OCI card on 24.2.2012 to the Embassy of India with all the necessary documents. It is more than six months as of today (30.08.2012 and there has been no response. It is extremely difficult or impossible to reach anybody at the Embassy. Only one e-mail was kindly answered by the vice Council (mr. R.K.Singh). Any procedure to get a duplicate passport
Can anybody tell me how long it took to get the oci card ?
Does it take 3to 4 months as they say or years?
I dont understand why they are charging so much?for such a bad service?
the indian embassy does not pick phone nor give replys to people who applies for pio or oci,to give information about their applications what is missing or what needs to be given,when i went to inquire about it was laying ready for 3 years but they have not inform us that it was ready,the workers there are not doing their duty properly!i wished they could be efficient in whatever they are doing!its a shame that it is this way!

I have submitted my visa application and my Dutch passport for issue of XV visa on the 09/05/2011. I was advised the visa would be processed in 5-6 working days and given 2 numbers for contact -
I have made several attempts to contact and was put on hold by the voice machine indefinitely, unable to reach the customer service desk.
Based on the initial time estimate for the processing of the visa, I had planned some business trips outside The Netherlands and had to cancel them due to not having my passport with me.
I have a personal trip to US planned to attend my friend's wedding in 2.5 weeks time and I need to have my visa processed passport back urgently to make the trip.
I kindly request you to process my visa application at the earliest and update me, as to when I can collect my passport.
