I came to France on a long term visa with multi entry. My work permit is valid till March/2013. I have applied for Carte de sejour but I have not received it yet. My visa got expired on 29thSep2012. Initially, the prefecture informed me that the visa can be extended since it is multiple entry type but after some days they informed me that I will get the Carte de sejour directly without extending the visa. It has been a month now, I have not yet received a carte de sejour. Now, I want to travel back to India. Is it possible to travel back after visa expiry without having a valid carte de sejour?
