Dear Team,
I am Khushi from India whose marriage was finalized for Feb 18,with a NRI in Malaysia. We had given him huge money for stabilizing his business in Malaysia.Then somebody sends us a whats-app message saying he expired with a heart attack and all the channels of communication with him i.e. phone, mail id, whats-app etc are blocked. Our marriage preparation was done and now my life is very much impacted and I have lost huge money in lakhs too.Please let me know how I can proceed with this. I need to know if he is alive or not as I dont have any means to contact him. Because of this situation my mother has gone into severe depression. Somebody please help me to find him, if he is alive, so that I can also get back my money.Should I send a mail to any other department who can help me. I can also send a police complaint to the Malaysian Police department as the situation at our home is very bad. Please guide me

It depends on the type of offence that you have made.
For overstayed ,Under Malaysian Immigration Section 15 (4) of the Immigration Act 1959/63 (Act 155) provides a fine of not less than RM10,000 or imprisonment not exceeding 5 years or both.
