to the guy called RAJKUMAR,for your information, Mr.Vinod Tharamal wasn't "thrown out". He's gradually moving back to India, and thus would be unable to do his duties to the best of his abilities. considering it's an honorary position, bestowed only if you have done something worthy, it would be stupid to think that you could get thrown out.And for you all other people there, Rwanda is a beautiful country with beautiful people. you wont regret visiting it :)

No Indian consulate in Rwanda I was in Rwanda last month and went around the capital Kigali looking for the Consulate office. An Indian business man told me that Mr.Vinod Tharmal, the Honorary Consul General has been thrown out by the previous Ambassador to UGANDA under which Rwanda comes for cheating the public by overcharging for Visa etc and is now settled in India and there is no Indian Consul or Consulate in Rwanda. Some one directed me to the Indian Association office who are providing consular services. From there I came to know that the ex-consular Mr.Vinod Tharamal is still maintaining an office though he has been removed way back in early 2010. After a long search I found his office. Though there is no sign board an Indian flag is fluttering on the gate. Inside the building which is a residential plot a lone local Rwadnes man was sitting with Indian and Rwandan flag on his table. When I asked is this Indian Consuilate he said yes. When I told him what I heard from the Indian community in the city he said though no Indians visit him for consular services he has no official information about the sacking of Mr.Vinod Tharamal and he is still paid by Mr.Vinod Tharamal who rarely visits Rwanda.Then how can his name is still shown as the Honorary Consul?
