Very disrespectful
This is the worst office I have been to in my life! Very unprofessional and liars! We tries to contact this office for almost a week before actually speaking to somebody. Once we spoke to them on Friday we asked what we had to bring and what time we had to be there. They informed us they were closing at 2:00pm due to A holiday. We drove 2 hrs to get there and was there at 12:30pm. The door was locked so we had a seat thinking maybe they were closed for lunch. After about 10 mins, somebody came out and we checked the door again and it was unlocked. I went strait to the window and had to wait about 10 mins for somebody to come to the window. Once she finally came she asked how she could help me, when I told her I was there for my husband to get a passport she informed me that they were already closed and wouldn't help him. I asked her how are you closed wen the sign says you are closing at 2 due to the holiday and it is only 1 right now. She said yes but we want to LEAVE at 2 so we are no longer taking anybody. I asked if there was someone else I could talk to because I had already spoken to somebody this morning and they said as long as I was there by 2 and I had just driven 2 hrs to get here. She said no you can call on Wed or come back then because I am the only one who can help you and we want to leave so please go out through this back door so nobody else tries to come in. As she walks me through the back there's like 5 or 6 people sitting at a table drinking coffee and laughing. This is why they couldn't help us. They wanted to drink coffee for 2 hrs instead of helping customers. Keep in mind there was only 1 person in the waiting room when we went in. I understand this is the Honduran consulate but they are operating on US soil. They should have to follow laws and operate accordingly. If an American office has a sign that says closing at 2 then we have to take any customers who come in up until 2 and also we have to respect our customers. Please tell me where I can find a job that allows me to lock out customers during business hours and get paid to sit, drink coffee and talk while on the clock? This is very disgusting behavior and I wish I knew how to go over these people's heads. Just because the majority of the people who go there aren't born here doesn't mean you can treat them like trash!

Photo ID
I teach ESL and there are some students from Honduras who are trying to get a photo day to facilitate the process of getting the 2 year visa for the dream act. Does the Honduran Consulate have something like the Matricula Consular as does the Mexican Consulate? Please contact me at bwalch@communityaction.com. Thank You, Bob Walch
