My father was born in Canton,China. He was born in January 9, 1905 and died 11/8/1975. Can you tell me how I can obtain information when he came to Guatemala. I do not have any data of pertaining his family background. He resided in Guatemala City all his life.

I found this link from the Guatemalan Foreign Affairs Ministry (in Spanish), which specifies which nationalities are required for a visa to enter Guatemala.

Countries under the category "A" do not need a visa. All others will need to apply for one. I am not sure about the application process, but I think you can use Google Translate for further information from this website.

Iam a Filipino. I have US and Shengen visas. I intend to go to Antigua Guatemala for a conference. I could not see the Philippines as one of those visa exempt but I also could not see the Philippines as those requiring visa.
Question: Is there a need for me to get one? I intend to stay in Guatemala for not more than 2 weeks.
