Comments on this Consulate-General
There is one particular woman who is not only incompetent, but very rude there. She obviously does not know what the facts are. She cost me 4 trips back and forth, and, every time I went back with whatever documents she requested, she told me that it was not right. It cost me over $80.00 of parking. She clearly did not have the slightest clue what needed to be done, and I was not the only one who had a problem with her. Every time I went back there was at least one person whom she was very rude with. Clearly something is very wrong here. She is also very, very rude. I am disgusted with our Consulate in Toronto and ashamed of being Greek. I hope this is not typical of the whole Greek governmental system, but, I feel that this may be so. Nothing will change!! What a real shame. We have the most beautiful country in the world the most ignorant government employees!!!
Just a quick message to those of you who are always so quick to judge. Please do remember that Greece is going through a depression. Next time you do speak to someone at the Greek Consulate - pls do ask how many employees have been let go due to cut backs and while you're at it pls also ask how many are left and then pls look up the Greek population in Toronto alone. The ratio is quite disheartening. Don't call. Take half a day off of your busy schedule and visit them. Then you'll understand why it is virtually impossible for them to answer the phones. I think we're quite fortunate to have them and should support these handful of people by at least no bashing them.
your email address doe not exist. Is there one available so I can contact the consulate? Very frustrating
If there were only ten Sophias in the office service would be great.
Dealing with the Greek Consulate makes it clear that Greece has no business in the EU or any reputable organization. Staff almost never pick up the phone. If they deign to, they're lazy, ignorant and rude. It's almost impossible to send an email or FAX.
Your website is a joke.
Shame on you all.
I called for help on filling out a form. With a bit of trickery, I actually got to speak with the most ignorant woman I've ever encountered in a government job.
Why have a damned embassy when your no help to people that require it. It seems the Greek way of laziness has spread to Canada. Maybe you should employ Canadians. How bloody frustrating this was!
After becoming frustrated with the useless menu options at the Toronto consulate; I called the embassy in Ottawa. I spoke to a "Human" whom couldn't, and wouldn't help me. She insisted I refer back to the useless Toronto consulate menu that has no "Human" option.
Will the Greeks ever do something usefal, or everything has to be half ass. Your website stinks. You restrict information for your accomplices so they can profit outside the Consulate. It is verty hard for a person seeking to obtain a form on an issue. I wondeer if it is done with a purpose.W
It was a pleasant experience to hear your phone recorded info. except that you don't list your office hours and dates. maybe you could correct this since we can't get a "live" contact, and it places you in the position to call us back, (since you request our phone in order to contact us.)
regards, Alexandra
