Comments on this Embassy
Please, I know you guys are doing your best to help us here in the US to process our passports and others. I sent two passports for my dependents to you on JUNE 21, SIGNED BY K. APPIAH and it is August 13 and I have not received them back. I have called million times but gets to ex-100 and no one picks up the phone. Please, if there is a problem like technical issues kindly let us know why it is taking too long this time. Last year I sent mine for renewal and got it back within two weeks, Excellent!!.
I know there is issues why and we will appreciate if SOMEONE CAN EXPLAIN TO US WHY THE DELAY. THANKS. God bless.

Dear Ghana embassy,
I can't believe you guys you guys are taking too long with our passports. what is going on u have 3 passport. I sent everything an already. come on now I sent it n June here it is August. I was supposed to be traveling June.
I had a bad experience with the Ghana Embassy in New York when I went there to apply for a passport for my immigration hearing. First, I made the mistake of approaching a gentleman at the "front desk" - after the security guard let me through - and proceeded to talk tell him about my mission in Twi. He screamed at me "We don't speak twi here". I was embarrassed. Turned out, only the security guard was Akan, the rest were all Ewes and they were downright mean and unprofessional to anyone with Akan name. They said it was going to take 4 weeks. After 8 weeks I still didn't get it. I had to ask for a letter from them to take to my hearing indicating am a Ghanaian citizen and they told me their computers and typewriters was broken down.
I went on my knees and begged like a baby. These guys made feel me very small I had to contact the immigration service and reschedule my appointment just to wait for the passport. It took another 3 weeks besides the 8 weeks before I finally got my passport. And I must say I wasn't alone, there were a lot of frustrated citizens who travelled from different states only to be mistreated and told stories. And all these victims had Akan names. Was it just coincidence? It's sad that as Ghanaians, we see ourselves differently and treat our fellow citizens differently.
I send my passport for renew on the 25th of june last month uptill now no passport, when u call de lady who pick up the call dont know how to talk to you, please when am i going to get my passpot cos i need it to asap
