Dual citizenship for US born to German US naturalized mother
My mother is German who married an American. I was born in the US but raised in Germany. My mother became a US naturalized citizen. I would like to have dual citizenship as I still have family in Germany and visit often with the idea of living there again. What are my options?

divorce certificate
I need to get a divorce document of my Mother and her German husband in order to prove that she brought me into the United States legally. I have applied for a passport, and tis is the one document they need. This divorce took place in Germany around 1946 or 1947, I believe in Esssen or Horn Germany. Could you tell me how to go about it. We entered the United States in 1949.

New ID/ Passport
My visa is expired and I've lost every ID besides my international drivers license. How do I obtain a new form of identification? Unfortunately the Seattle consulate offered no form of support.
Thanks
