I am Vivek VEERAPANDIAN who has recently done Masters in Nantes, France. I would like to know if I get contract from a German company, where do I need to apply for work permit/blue card and how long it would take to get it.

Dear Consulate in Nantes,
I will be working in Angers, France, from January through June 2013. My German passport will expire in March.
Can I renew my passport in France? My residency is in the Unite States and my consulate here is in Houston, but I will not have time to renew my passport before I leave for France.
Is it possible to take care of this in France, preferably Nantes?
