moving to Germany
I am wanting to move to Germany to live with my brother, would it be best to get a visa here in the states, or can I just apply in Germany? I am just a little nervous applying there because I really dont know how it goes or what I will need to do

Marrying my German partner in Germany
I have a certified copy of my birth certificate with the appostile. I am told that in order to get married in Germany, I need another document where I state under oath that I've never been married and I have no children. What is this document? Where can I get it? How do I satisfy Germany's requirements regarding this oath document? Thank you, Patricia

ANCESTRY OF JOSEPH (JOSEF) MORRIS HARTMANN
i AM TRYING TO LOCATE ANY RECORDS OF MY GRANDFATHER, BORN IN PILSEN, AUSTRIA. BORN APPROXIMATELY 1872 AND CAME VIA ELLIS ISLAND 1898.
HE MAY HAVE BEEN A JEW, BUT I HAVE NO RECORD OF THIS.
i HAVE A FRIEND WHO SPEAKS IN GERMAN AND ALSO CAN READ AND WRITE IN GERMAN. CAN YOU SUGGEST ANY WAY I CAN CONTACT A MAYOR OR OTHER PERSON IN PILSEN WHO COULD HELP ME? ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. i AM GETTING OLD AND WOULD LIKE TO PASS ANY INFORMATION TO MY CHILDREN AND GRANDCHILDREN.
