Looking for my sister born ~1946 in Germany
Hi, I am looking for my sister, born probably around 1946. My father ( Jacob Bram) met a women in Germany ( DP Camp ? ) 1945-6 after 2'nd world war. They separated.
What I know is that this women gave birth to a baby girl.
Both the mother and the baby girl immigrated to Venezuela ( 1946-7 ? )
Embassy in Caracas may have a record of a woman who was born in 1946 in Germany ?
I thank you in advance.

In honor of
German Embassy in Caracas.
Hello!
I apply to you according to Mr. Stephen Veeh(from the German embassy in Tel Aviv) advice, with the following:
My aunt, Mrs. Ida Katz, died in Caracas on 10.10.2010. Email that I received from the Jewish community in Caracas – is attached.
My aunt was a civilian Venezuela since 1948.
Her husband, Lola (Lazar) Katz died some years ago.
The Katz couple had no children at all.
First degree family members remaining are me, Mr Israel Kaplinsky and my sister, Mrs Ora Peleg, the children of her eldest sister, Masha Kaplinsky, who died in Tel Aviv in 1996. We both leave in Israel.
Several months ago, Ms. Monica Zahern (www.afw-saarburg.de) from claims office in Germany informed us that our aunt left my sister and me a small sum of money. In order to approve us as her heirs by a German court we have been asked to fill a questionnaire in the German Embassy in Tel Aviv and to attach the death certificate of Ida Katz. But this document is not in our hands.
Here I would like to mention that after receiving the message of the passing away of my aunt, I tried to connect Mrs Lorraine Goldstein, Director of the Jewish community of Caracas and asked her to provide me the death certificate.
Despite many Emails I sent her I didn't get any comment at all. As the State of Israel has no Embassy in Caracas nowadays, I asked for the assistance of the Canadian Embassy in Caracas (through the Embassy of Israel in Otava), representing the interests of Israel in Venezuela, but this also was not successful. Up today I could not get the death certificate of Ida Katz.
As noted above, Mr. Stephen Veeh from the German embassy in Tel Aviv threw the idea to try to use your services for this purpose.
I'll appreciate considering my request positively.
Thank you ,
Best regards,

Israel Kaplinsky
