When I received the message on-line with the following content:
"This message mey come to you as a surprise I am Mrs. Victoria Merkel from Germany, Married To late MR BERNARD MARKEL we were married for many years without any child . I am a philantropist and havebeen engaged in the building and establishment of humaniterian foundation. I help the poor masses, I am contacting you to donate a FUND to you with trust,this fund is ment for building Orphanage Centres,Help less privileged and HIV/AIDS Victims in the society, ETC. Contact me at ( miraclegod12 (AT) gmail.com ) for more information Mrs Merkel."
I noticed some spelling mistake, though sometimes we make mistakes while writing, but anyway I found it suspicious. At the beginning I wanted to reply, but decided to GOOGLE it. Consequently, I found lots of blogs and posts regarding the original message given above. So, I found this blog, read the posts concerning your experiences, and thanks God I'm safe and you made it clear.
Anybody, whoever received such messages, copy any sentence or phrase of the original message, then GOOGLE it. I'm sure, you'll find at least 8-10 related links.

well these are thieves,i also received a message in my facebook account from Victoria. and i think we better put their name on our facebook walls so that all of our friends will be aware of this evil thing
i just got a message from the Mrs Victoria merkel telling me to assist her in the opening of orphanages here in Dar es salaam...thanks to Google one can identify spammers...
I RECEIVED AN EMAIL FROM THIS USELESS LADY WHO HAS NO RESPECT FOR THE PEOPLE. PLEASE BE EXTRA CAREFUL WITH HER AND THIS MAN THE SO CALLED BARRISTER GODS WILL.I THEREFORE DECLARE A CURSE UPON HIM AND HIS ENTIRE GROUP OF CHAMBERS.
Thank God I have an idea of this scam Email. I got a mail from Mrs Victoria claiming to be widow of Bernard Merkel who had worked for Germany embassy up to 2006 before his death involving 12.5m$.
Later she told me to contact her lawyer Barrister Godswill Gabi for farther detail as she is very sick in a hospital in London.
Then he requested for my details & later got mail fro Voila Bank requesting me to pay 1750$ as account reactivation fee. Told them to contact lawyer to pay fees.
He called me to ask why he should pay & asked how much I was ready with.
be extra careful with unknown person contacting you in facebook, i aiso received the e-mail from Mother victoria markel and godswill gabi
i received a letter from a woman claiming to be the widow of BERNARD MARKEL who died in 2006 and was working for the Germany Embassy. Please provide me with more details about her and her late husband.my e-mailsamarkand33@hotmail.com
It was God help,other wise i was about to be robbed my money. The anonymous person who called herself Victoria Merkel sent an emaiol to me claiming to had been the wife of Late Bernard markel who was working in Togo embassy and died in 2006. I believed but soon later i discovered that was lying.
she said that her husband left 12.5 usd million dollars in account and wanted to build orphanage centers,widow center and less privileged in society..because it sounds like a good idea i accepted and replied. She told me to contact a person whom she called her lawyer in Togo. i did everything and the next day A person called Barrister Godswill Gabi replied and sent me his numbers and emails for those who he called his chambers. They told me to find an international passport. i said i have not then they said i should send any ID. i did so. they barrister called me and wants me to send him 1750 usd.i discovered these are robbers. they are thieves
